Sizesnap Lab ("the app") is a tool for measuring garments and keeping those numbers to hand. There is no account, no sign-in and no social feature.
Measurements, garment names, categories and the photos you measured are stored only on your device. Nothing is uploaded to a server and the developer cannot see any of it. Deleting the app deletes this data. Individual garments can be deleted from the closet.
Measuring uses the device camera together with ARKit. The camera feed is processed on the spot for measuring only — it is neither transmitted nor saved automatically. Only the image you explicitly keep as a "measured photo" remains on the device.
An on-device machine learning model assists with estimating measurements. This also runs entirely on the device; no image leaves it.
To improve the app, anonymous action counts are sent to the developer's own server (collect.appline.app). Only totals are recorded: which features were used (a measurement started, a measurement finished, a garment saved to the closet, a comparison viewed, the gallery opened), purchase-related actions (the Pro screen shown, the buy button, a completed purchase, a restore), and screen transitions (which screen led to which).
That is all that is sent: a fixed, predefined event name plus the app version (e.g. 1.0.0). Screen transitions are limited to combinations of a fixed set of screen names.
Not sent: name, email address, account information, device identifiers (IDFA / IDFV), advertising ID, location — and your measurements, garment names and photos. None of these are transmitted.
You cannot be identified or tracked: the app assigns no persistent identifier (no device ID, no session ID). What reaches the server is only "how many times an action happened in total", with no key to join those events on. Identifying an individual, following the same person over time, or building a profile is structurally impossible. Per-user metrics such as active users or retention cannot be derived here either (those come only from the anonymous aggregates Apple provides in App Store Connect).
The receiving server uses an allow-list: anything other than the predefined event names is discarded without being stored.
No advertising or analytics SDK (Google / Firebase / Meta or similar) is included. No data is shared with third parties or used for advertising. The app never asks for App Tracking Transparency permission.
Sizesnap Lab Pro is purchased through Apple's In-App Purchase. Payment and purchase history are handled entirely by Apple. The app never receives payment details such as card numbers, and checks entitlement only through the information Apple provides to the device.
The app is not directed at children. As described above, no personally identifying information is collected, so the data collected is the same regardless of age.
