LEVEL FIELD — Privacy Policy

This policy explains how LEVEL FIELD (the App) handles information.

1. What is collected

The App does not collect or store personally identifying information. There is no account to create, and no third-party analytics or advertising SDK is included — no Google, Firebase or Meta SDK of any kind.

To understand which parts of the App are used, anonymous counts are sent to a server run by the developer (collect.appline.app). Section 5 sets out exactly what those are.

2. Kept on your device

The following is stored only on your device and never leaves it:

Records of stages you have solved (the board, your taps, the date, and the moves you made)
Records of the daily puzzle
Your progress through the stages
Settings (sound, beat)

Deleting the App removes this data from your device.

3. Permissions

The App requests no permissions at all. It does not use the camera, photos, location, microphone, contacts or notifications.

4. Network

Puzzles are generated and recorded entirely on your device. The App has no server of its own to send anything to. The network is used only for two Apple services:

Game Center (optional) — if you take part in the leaderboards, the stage you have reached and your tap count for the daily puzzle are sent to Apple. Nothing is sent if you are not signed in to Game Center. Apple's privacy policy governs that data.
App Store — purchasing and restoring Pro. Payment is handled by Apple; the App never receives card or payment details.

5. Anonymous usage counts

Exactly three fields are sent, and nothing else:

the app name (levelfield)
an event name from a fixed list (below)
the app version

The complete list of events is:

the tutorial (stage 000) was finished, or dismissed part way
the last free stage was solved
the daily puzzle was solved
a move between screens (e.g. "menu to board"; the screen names are a fixed set of eight)
the purchase screen was shown; the purchase button was pressed; a purchase completed; a purchase was restored

There is no identifier of any kind. No device ID, IDFA/IDFV, UUID or session token is generated or sent, so there is no key on which events could be joined. Identifying a person, following them over time, or building a profile is therefore not possible in principle — what is recorded is only how many times something happened in total.

Nothing about the puzzles you solve is sent: not the board, your taps, your times, your scores, your location, or any free text. The server independently discards anything outside the list above rather than storing it.

These counts are read only by the developer and are never provided or sold to anyone else.

6. In-app purchase

Pro is a one-off purchase. Entitlement is held against your Apple Account, and the App only ever reads whether it has been bought. No purchase history or payment information is stored by the App.

7. Children's privacy

Because no personal information is collected, the App is safe to use at any age. There is no messaging or communication between players.

8. Changes

If this policy changes, this page is updated and the date at the top revised.
