Fineline Studios ("the App") is a tool for designing geometric patterns. It has no account, no sign-in, and no social features. On the App Store (English), the app is listed as Fineline Studios.
Patterns you save, their names, palettes and hand-drawn strokes are stored locally on your device only. They are not uploaded to any server, and the developer cannot see them. Deleting the App deletes this data.
To improve the App, it sends anonymous action counts to a server run by the developer (collect.appline.app). Only aggregate totals are recorded:
What is sent (this is all): a fixed, pre-defined event name plus the App's version number (for example 1.0).
What is never sent: your name, email address, account information, device identifiers (IDFA / IDFV), advertising IDs, location, and the patterns or drawings you make. None of these leave your device.
You cannot be identified or followed: the App assigns no persistent identifier of any kind — no device ID, no session ID. What arrives on the server is only "this action happened N times in total", with nothing that could link two events together. Identifying a person, following the same person over time, or building a profile is therefore structurally impossible. Per-person figures such as active-user counts or retention cannot be derived from this data either; those are only ever seen as the anonymous aggregates that Apple's App Store Connect provides.
Where it goes: only to a server the developer operates (on Cloudflare). It is never passed to third parties such as Google, Firebase or Meta. Traffic passes through the developer's infrastructure (Cloudflare), but your IP address is not recorded, stored or used, and is never associated with the anonymous counts above.
The App contains no advertising SDKs and no analytics SDKs from third parties. It does not track you across apps or websites, so it never asks for tracking permission.
Fineline Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple through the App Store. Payment details are handled entirely by Apple; the developer never receives or stores your card information. Whether the purchase is active is determined on your device from your App Store receipt.
When you export a pattern, the file is created on your device and handed to the standard iOS share sheet. Where it goes from there — Files, Photos, Mail, another app — is entirely your choice, and the App does not send it anywhere on its own.
The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children. Because it assigns no identifiers, it cannot build a profile of any user regardless of age.
All of your patterns are stored locally, so deleting the App removes them. The anonymous counts described in Section 2 contain nothing that identifies you and therefore cannot be traced back to an individual for deletion.
