No. Air Chokin records the discount printed on a receipt as a saving you keep track of. No money moves, nothing is deposited anywhere, and there is no bank or card connection.
It reads Japanese receipt layouts, and the words it looks for (小計 / 合計 / お値引) are specific to them. The interface is Japanese for the same reason.
Drag a box around the amount on the photograph and the app reads it again. If that still fails you can type it. The app never requires recognition to succeed — you can always reach the right figure.
On the confirmation screen, tap the row you meant and choose 「これを合計にする」 (use this as the total). The date can be tapped and set. After recording, open the receipt from Spending or Receipts and choose 「読み取りを修正」 to read it again.
Settings can export your figures to a file and import them again. Importing only adds — it never deletes what is already on the device. Photographs are not in the export; they can be saved to the Photos app from the Receipts tab.
Photographing receipts, reading the discount, enclosing and typing amounts by hand, and exporting your data are all free. Air Chokin Pro (a one-time purchase, ¥200 in Japan) adds receipt search, exporting receipt photographs, multiple goals, and changing the accent colour later. It is not a subscription. Previous purchases can be restored from Settings.
On your device only. Reading and totalling happen on the device and the app makes no network requests.
