Changed in v1.1: the app now sends anonymous usage counts — totals of how often each feature is used. Nothing records who used it. See section 4.
Air Chokin records the discounts printed on your receipts as a virtual saving. No money is moved and nothing is deposited into any bank account. There is no connection to any financial institution and no transfer function.
This policy explains how information is handled in Air Chokin (the app).
The app collects and stores no personally identifying information. No account is required. It contains no advertising and no third-party analytics SDKs (no Google, Firebase or Meta).
Anonymous usage counts are the only thing sent off the device (section 4). Receipt images, figures and shop names are never sent.
The following is stored on your device only:
Text recognition (OCR) and every figure the app derives are computed on your device. Receipt images and recognised text are never sent to the developer or to any third party.
Choosing a receipt from Photos uses the system picker, so full photo-library access is not required.
To know which features are actually used, the app sends anonymous counts of actions. Exactly three fields are sent:

There is no persistent identifier. No device ID, no IDFA, no user ID is sent, so there is no key on which events could be joined. Identifying an individual, following them over time or building a profile is therefore structurally impossible: what the server holds is "this action happened N times in total".
IP addresses are not recorded, stored or used. Audience figures such as active users are left to Apple's App Store Connect analytics.
Receipt images, recognised text, amounts, shop names and goal contents are never sent, and no free-form text can be sent (the server discards anything outside the allow-list).
No advertising, crash-reporting or third-party analytics services are used. The usage counts described above go directly to the developer's own server; no third-party SDK is embedded.
Settings lets you export your recorded figures to a file and import them again. Where you keep that file is up to you.
Receipt images are never deleted automatically. If you want to remove them you choose a period yourself in Settings. Deleting the app removes all of its data from the device.
The app offers a one-time in-app purchase, Air Chokin Pro, which unlocks some features. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple's StoreKit and Apple's privacy policy applies. The developer never receives payment details such as card numbers — only the fact that a purchase exists.
The app is rated 4+. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 — it collects none at all and sends nothing anywhere.
