Air Chokin

Make the saving you already made visible.

Air Chokin records the discounts printed on Japanese receipts as a virtual saving. No money is moved and nothing is deposited into any bank account. The app is Japanese-only, because it reads Japanese receipts.

Photograph a receipt

1. Take a photo of the receipt
2. The discount and the amount paid are read from it
3. The discount is added to your passbook
4. You can see how close that brings you to a goal

It never fails on you

If an amount cannot be read, drag a box around it on the photograph. If that still fails, type it. The right figure is always reachable.

What you spent, too

Alongside the discount, the app records what was actually paid — closed off by month, and broken down by shop, kind of shop and period.

Everything stays on the device

Reading and totalling happen on your device. No account, no network requests.
