The app is free. The 10 balls, 60 seconds and practice modes and the Game Center leaderboards are all available at no cost. Additional features are unlocked by a one-time in-app purchase, "BattingLab Pro" (US$4.99). It is not a subscription. If you have purchased it before, use "Restore Purchases" on the Pro screen.
Six ballpark presets (small, large, tall wall, asymmetric, polygonal) and the ballpark editor (fence distances, wall heights, fence shape and colors), handing a park you built to someone (they can play it without Pro), the "what if this round had been played in another park" recalculation, pitch type / speed / location settings for practice mode, session history with trend graphs, spray charts and CSV export, per-ballpark leaderboards, and the shareable summary card.
Only rounds played in 10 balls or 60 seconds mode without assist are submitted. Practice mode, rounds played with assist, and rounds played in your own custom ballpark are not eligible. Check that the start screen shows the round as eligible, and make sure you are signed in to Game Center.
Assist softens errors in your timing and contact point. You can choose strong, medium, light or none on the start screen. Rounds played with assist are not eligible for the leaderboards.
Only on your device. There is no iCloud sync, so records do not transfer to a new device and are lost if you delete the app. To keep them, export a CSV from the HISTORY screen in Pro.
Long-press a session on the HISTORY screen to delete that round. To remove everything, deleting the app also deletes the records stored on your device.
With Pro, the BALLPARK screen lets you set five fence distances, three wall heights, the fence shape (curved or straight) and the colors yourself. A park you built can be handed to someone as a link or a file (.blpark), and they can play it without Pro. Rounds played in a custom or received ballpark are not eligible for the leaderboards.
Yes. The start screen settings let you switch between right- and left-handed batting and between km/h · m and mph · ft.
