This Privacy Policy describes how BattingLab ("the App") handles information.
The App collects and stores no personally identifiable information. No account is required, and the App contains no third-party analytics SDK and no advertising SDK. Your session records — the numbers for each batted ball, ballparks you build, personal bests — are never sent to any server.
The only thing that leaves your device is the two anonymous counts described in Section 2.
To know how much the App is used, it sends anonymous counts to collect.appline.app. Exactly two things are counted, both as totals only:
What is sent (this is all): a fixed, predefined event name (app_open or game_finished) and the app version string (e.g. 1.0).
What is never sent: name, email, account information, device identifiers (IDFA / IDFV), advertising ID, location, scores, distances, ballparks you build, or anything else that could identify you.
You cannot be identified or tracked: the App assigns no persistent identifier of any kind (no device ID, no session ID). What arrives is only "this action happened N times in total", with no key to join those events on, so identifying a user, following the same person over time, or building a profile is structurally impossible. Per-user metrics such as active users or retention cannot be derived from this either; those come only from the anonymous aggregates Apple provides in App Store Connect.
Enforced on the receiving side: the server records only the two event names above and stores nothing else, even if it receives it.
Where it goes: only to a server on Cloudflare. It is never shared with third parties such as Google, Firebase or Meta. The request travels through Cloudflare, but your IP address is not recorded, stored or used, and is never associated with these anonymous counts.
The following data is stored only on your device:
sessions.json) inside the App's own storageNone of this leaves your device, and it is not synced through iCloud or any other service. Deleting the App deletes this data with it.
The App requests no iOS permissions at all — no camera, microphone, photos, location or contacts.
The App never sends your gameplay itself. Network communication occurs only for the anonymous counts in Section 2 and through the two Apple services described in Sections 6 and 7.
If you are signed in to Game Center, the App submits your score (home run count and longest distance) to Apple's leaderboards at the end of a round. Submission is handled by Apple's GameKit framework, and only rounds that qualify for the leaderboards (10 balls or 60 seconds, played without assist) are submitted. The developer has no access to your Game Center identity beyond what is publicly visible on the leaderboard. You can play every mode without signing in.
Game Center is governed by Apple's privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
The App offers a one-time in-app purchase, "BattingLab Pro", which unlocks additional ballparks and record-keeping features. All payment processing is handled by Apple through StoreKit and is governed by Apple's privacy policy. The developer never receives your credit card number or other payment details — only whether the purchase exists on your App Store account.
The summary image card and the CSV export are created only when you tap the share button, and are handed to the standard iOS share sheet. You choose the destination; nothing is sent to the developer's servers.
Handing a ballpark to someone creates a link (battinglab://) or a file (.blpark) that contains only the fence dimensions, wall heights, colors and the park name. None of your records or device information is included.
The App is rated 4+. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App collects no personal information at all; the only thing transmitted is the anonymous counts in Section 2, which carry no identifier and cannot be tied to any person, child or adult.
