Motionline helps you analyze your sports form by extracting frames from video, optionally removing backgrounds with AI, and creating strobe photos or MP4 clips for detailed review.
When enabled, the app uses Apple's Vision framework to detect and isolate the person in each frame, replacing the background with your chosen color. This makes it easier to focus on body position and form.
A strobe photo is a composite image that arranges multiple frames in a grid layout. It shows the progression of movement in a single image — useful for analyzing swing mechanics, running form, or any repetitive motion.
To ensure smooth performance, the app caps extraction at 500 frames. If your video would produce more frames at the selected interval, the interval is automatically adjusted.
Use the toolbar icons in the frame editor: the photo icon creates a strobe composite, the play icon creates an MP4, and the download icon saves to your Camera Roll. You can also use the share sheet to send to any app.
No. All processing happens on your device. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Motionline requires an iPhone running iOS 16.0 or later.
